In the world of agriculture, success isn’t just about what and how you grow or produce; it’s about who you grow and produce it with. Our team isn’t just a valuable asset but a source of innovation, dedication, and growth.

We’re celebrating our team members by sharing a little something about them to help you get to know us better. Next to be interviewed is Simon Worboys, our Agricultural Engineer who looks after all the vital farming equipment. Let’s find out more:

Why farming?

I always have. We had a farm at our school, so between 11 and 16, I did farming from then on, really. However, obviously, I am an Agricultural Engineer, so when things break, I fix them.

How long have you worked for P.X. Farms?

3 ½ years.

What are some of your skills that you use in your daily work?

Welding, electrics, hydraulics, mechanical skills, and people skills, as I have to talk to the drivers on a daily basis.

What is your favourite season and why?

Summer as it is the harvest season, it’s a busy time, I like to be busy.

What is the most interesting thing you have learnt about farming in the last year?

It’s hard for me to say, really, I learn all the time as I am always working on new and different machinery, so every day is a new day.

Now, tell us a little more about you as a person. If you were stranded on a deserted island, what are three things that you would want to have with you?

My partner, my dog Stanley as he always greets me with a smile, and my sports car.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?

Time travel, so you can travel back and forth.

When not in work, what do you most like to do and why?

Walking and driving, getting down to the Norfolk/Suffolk coast to the beach to have a walk with Stanley and my partner, I find it very relaxing.
