It’s another busy day at P.X. Farms as we work through a full health and safety audit, place yet another bet between James and Gordon, and spend some much-needed time getting on top of jobs in the workshop. Big G has been flat-out, Sandy’s fixing radios, new forklift tyres arrive, and the plough heads off for shot blasting. There are still a few challenges along the way (including yet another issue with the F5 LUG), but for once there’s some genuine positivity as the workshop starts to feel like it’s moving in the right direction, helped by brand new heating going in. We finish the day washing lorries, getting kit ready, and starting preparations for an upcoming trip to Brazil, showing the behind-the-scenes reality of running a modern farming business. In this video, we go behind the scenes at RAGT to explore how brand-new wheat varieties are developed, from the very first cross in the glasshouse to plots destined for UK and international fields. We start inside RAGT’s state-of-the-art glasshouses, where plant breeders begin the long process of creating new varieties. Winter on the farm is all about preparation, repairs and getting ahead for the season to come. In this episode, we take you behind the scenes at P.X.
