It’s another busy week on the farm, and once again, something completely unexpected happens… We start with ongoing yard maintenance and preparations for the next phase of our shed build, with more stone arriving and progress continuing on the base. As harvest approaches, we also begin clearing wheat pre-harvest and making sure everything is ready for the weeks ahead. After a long wait, we finally get some rain on the farm but unfortunately, it’s nowhere near enough to make a real difference. With conditions still challenging, work continues as we begin putting down stone in preparation for a new shed, carefully getting the levels right to support the next stage of development. Alongside this, we deal with ongoing issues including broken land drainage, hedge cutting, and general yard improvements.
